Can't speak for anyone else, but I bought this car because I want to drive to the track, enjoy a wonderfully reliable track day, then drive back home, without lifting a wrench or fiddling with jacks. The Toyo/MPSC/Yokohama/Pirelli tires allow that, the Hoosiers/Kumhos do not.

If I were to bring extra wheels/tires to the track, I'd go full out and run Michelin/Pirelli slicks and have the time of my life.

I've done both, the main issue is proximity of said track. In my RS, I've got the rear half cage- so if I want to bring a passenger (babes) to ride along to and around the track, towing makes more sense- because I simply cannot fit my helmet, hans, miscellaneous gear, and her purse or my spare helmet and a passenger in the car.

plus I'm just really sick in the head and like travelling 300 miles to tracks.

oh and am I the only one who feels like unloading the car is a bit like foreplay?
