Default Protosport rotor wear

Anyone getting fast wear on these rotors? I thought they would outlast the stock drilled rotors substantially but I am getting a lot of radial heat cracking while the rotors are not much worn down. Also getting a single ridge in the middle on each side which is a little weird.

you got pix?
on 997gt3, i get about 1800 miles. that's about 2x oem rotors.
i run RS29 with them.
LOTS of fissures but no real cracks.
no prob with braking power either.

i am on 5th set of those, every set last about the same miles.

So maybe fissures is a better description than cracks for what I am seeing. IIRC, this is after 3 or 4 track weekends so maybe my wear isn't out of line. How do you decide whether you need to replace these - do the cracks eventually split the rotors at the edge?

the fissure has NEVER developed into cracks or reached edge of rotor for me, that inc one set of rotors that i put 2000 miles on!

i change them when i feel an raised edge/lip on the edge of disk, which usually happen around 15-1800 miles.

Show us some pictures if you can. I have a set but still new. Mooty maybe you could comment on or show pictures of when its time to pitch the Protosport slotted. I know when to pitch OEM rotors but interested in what the limit is on slotted.

thanx rad for the pix

frank, the rotor rad posted was my protosport off front of RS. it has 800 track miles on it. for ME, i would run it for another 1000 track miles as long as they are not laguna seca miles. laguna is 2x harder on brakes than any other track in CA.

My Protosport front rotors are starting to look pretty cracky...

Anyone have the phone number? Sorry I searched but could not find the invoice or number anywhere.
