Default race numbers

Howdy folks,
So, does anyone have magnetic race numbers?
and if you do, how are they working out for you?
Do you have any problems with them - ie do they come off at high speed?
Are you worried they may scratch the paint from vibration/movement on
the paint?
Any info would be useful...
Thanks

I use a magnetic number with some scotch tape for peace of mind. Seems to work well enough. I hit about 130 on the front straight.

Magnets won't stick to your aluminum door. It's funny, I knew the door and hood were aluminum, but I took my magnets from my previous car and tried to stick it to the door to my GT3 when I got it and it fell to the ground initiating a good grin and laugh. I got vinyl numbers for the rear quarter windows locally for about 50 cents a pair (I think that's what I paid). So, now that $195 DE day costs $195.50

i put mine on the fenders and roof...
Magnetic numbers cling to the fenders fine... question is to what point
so I put hem there and took an hour drive... they didn't move at all...
I only reach 90mph or so... but seemed planted...
I was concerned about micro movements that might scratch the paint...
and wether or not people put a thin cloth under cloth, or?
Dunno just wondering what people's experience with this is...

If you put a piece of racers tape (not duct tape) along the leading edge they won't shift or come off.

I was told that they will come off, This vendor recommends reusable vinyl instead. http://www.soloperformance.com/Solot...p_49-1379.html
he said you can reuse 6 to 8 times.

Solotime has reusable vinyl numbers. I had magnetics but they would fly off unless i put duct tape on front edge but looks ugly. Mike

I was going to go with magnetic but after talking to a few people who had your experience I went with the reusable vinyl, that will be the least expensive consumable on my track days.
