i did both ways.
solenoid pulling DRONES a lot. very few ppl had it pulled all the time. those who did ultimately put it back.

also, they dont sound the same. but that is a personal choice.

i know the "drone" well. my 16vGTi, scirocco 16V all had ANZA crap back in the 80's.

As a complete system , i quite like AWE's build quality and sound but too bad it didnt shave as much as weight as I expected.
