I bought a used '08 black/black with 1,400 miles. For better or worse, its been broken in by someone else. Given my automotive ADHD, I'm not too worried about the break in. My suspicion is it will be out of my garage before it has a chance to wear out.

It has the premium, performance, and multimedia options, ipod, bluetooth phone, and a couple minor options that I can't recall off the top of my head.

Regarding the mod potential...

Is it because the C63's engine is very de-tuned from the factory to begin with? (since the same(??) 6.2L V8 engine makes 500hps+ in other AMGs..) Or?

Otherwise, it is unheard of to get that kind of extra power from a N/A engine!

Congrats on the new ride! It looks great!!

OG, great choice!!!

as you saw from my pic thread just posted, one of my best friends just got a white one, and it is an absolute blast!

incredibly comfy and well put together

silly fast in a straight line... was pursuing him in my 7GT3, and at speeds to around 230kmh, i can't say the GT3 is noticeably faster in real (3rd) world conditions

i took the AMG on a quick casual romp down the track, and while you feel the weight versus more dedicated track cars, its certainly up to the job, and will surely be extremely entertaining.

IMO it is so much better all-round (where road use is main purpose) than the M3, its not even funny!

OldGuy, I almost puked, a C63? you could do better.

A slushbox? You're pushing the envelop too far.

Motor Trend is preparing an article from ten cars at Laguna Seca this week. Randy Pobst really liked the M3, I'm waiting for his lap times.

From all the cars compared, the M3 was the most comfortable, and the test included a Mini Cooper-S, Chevy Cobalt SS, Audi R8, 911 Turbo (the Porsche soft ride).

The C63 is fast in straight line (0-100mph in 9.7 secs). The DCT M3 gets to 100mph under 10 secs as well. Even match.

Rad
where I am now I may not go around corners real well. Until I get my back fixed. the track is the
furtherest place from where I will be. I agree the M3 may be faster around the track
but with the 335i in the garage I wanted to try something different.

Paul, that car KICKS AZZZ! I love it. I have been driving my wifes CLK 550 with some AMG things on it around a lot lately and I love it. This C63 is even nicer!

Our 2008 C550 is black too and you will find that Mercedes paint is extremely swril resistant. Our car was freash off the boat to the dealer. I clayed the car, light orbital buffer with Menzerna Nano Polish...Mercedes uses Menzerna at the factory and then finished off with Menzerna FMJ.

Now to make ya sick....My wife took this car through the local American Pride Car Wash TWICE while I was gone and not a freakin' swirl.

Paul, very nice car.
The engine sound alone....

I have instructed at the track in C 55's and I can not wait until I get a ride in a C63.

If I was in the market for a 4 door and be in you shoe's (back) I would get the same car, it has the looks and power. If it could be a 2 door, the Nissan GTR maybe.

With all that extra weigtht, you need those brakes. That car carries almost 500 lbs over the M3.

You are also going to need wider tires, to be able to use that power other than in straight line.

I'm not into Mercedes slush boxes 4-door sedans as you might notice. It is a cute car though, especially the back, looks like a Lexus (which is cute also)

Check this out. That C63 reaches 100 mph in 9.2 seconds. Pretty impressive, that's what a 997 GT3 RS runs.
