Default 997 GT3 EXHAUST OPTIONS??

Alright folks. There looks to be alot of exhausts available in the aftermarket.

Which exhaust do you think is the best?
Lightest, most HP, best sounding, most expensive, best value etc....
db levels and emmissions are not important.

I've heard the AWE, Sharkwerks center tube, GMG center tube but that's it. what other options have you been thinking about?

FWIW either the sharky tube or GMG tube loses 16 lbs from the rear and are the best bang for the buck.

I would love to do an aftermarket - but 92 db is the rating at our local tracks - which of the aftermarket exhausts will stay under that limit, if any?

none will be able to pass sound @ 92db...

FWIW the stock 997GT3 won't even be that low!

I'm looking at getting one custom made later this fall so I can take the RS to Laguna Seca.

only Ti exhaust I've heard of is on the GT2.

cup exhaust in all honesty is same price or lower than other custom options @ around 4500-550.

This is a no-brainer. The best mod I have ever done to any of my Porsche's in the last 48 years........"Sharkwerks muffler by pass"! Trust me, you will love it. Give Alex or Dan a call.

Just so i know, the by pass mod is the stock exhaust system but with exit before the mufflers? hence the name "muffler by pass mod"?

+1 I've had the GMG for about a year, and it's awesome. Great sound, good weight savings!

both are similar weights IIRC, gmg is more obnoxious loud, and sharky seems more porsche loud...best way to do it is just check youtube.
