Really depends on whether you like the "all in one" concept of arrive and drive, or having 1 street car and 1 track car. I've had a few combinations: 964 race prepared car, 997S, and 997 GT3. I did not like the 964 or GT3 on the street - just not made for that. Fun on the track, for sure. The 997S was a great street car and was also very fun and potent on the track. I've got a 987 Boxster S now as well, which is a great fun street car. In the end, I'm taking delivery on Thursday of a 2009 C2S manual w/ Sport PASM and am going back to my favorite of the bunch. A great street car that's fun on the track. This version will bridge between the old 997S and the GT3 I had due to the new engine and suspension.
So, of your options, I'd think the 993 garage queen street car would be a great fun car for tooling around. And when you go to the track, pull out the "more raw" 996 GT3. Set up properly, the 996 GT3 is a fantastic car for the track. You are sure to find one for not a lot ready for DE with a roll bar, proper seats, suspension, etc. I think you'll find you can be in well under your budget that way.
All depends on what you like and want...

I think you always need two cars, a track capable street car, and a street capable race car.
I got a dedicated race car a few weeks ago and sold it. I have a trailer, but I couldn't justify not being able to drive it on the streets and the nice roads around, it wasn't street capable.
With a $150k budget I would go 997 GT3 RS and Cayman, make the Cayman a track car with just suspension, weight reduction and LSD, while keeping it street legal.

Buy a factory built Cup Car---spend $100k, get a street P-car for $40k, and keep $10k in the bank for Cup consumables. There will always be a demand for a factory built race car.
