Are the seats in the euro 997 GT3 the same as the Carrera GT seats?

And are the 997 GT2 seats the same as euro 997 GT3 seats except for the tilt forward feature?

I am pretty sure the Euro 997 GT3 seats are the same as the Carrera GT seats. In fact, I ordered the Euro 997 GT3 seats separately and the box even says Carrera GT right on it. [See attached pic] Some differences, though -- for the GT3RS at least, the Euro seats come in all fabric only, whereas I think the CGT seats are all leather. Also, I think the CGT seats came in at least 2 sizes, whereas the Euro 997 GT3 come in one size only.

The 997 GT2 seats are different altogether.

The Euro GT3 RS seat is identical to the CGT seat -- at least the shell. I don't know about different widths in the GT3RS, but for sure there was an optional wider one in the CGT. The tilt back GT2 seat is a new design.

the new gt2 seats fit more like a recaro racing seat- you can sink pretty deep in them at the hip/waist/leg

GT2 seats are an improvement on both the CGT seats and the GT3RS. They are different than the Euro GT3 seats as well. If I could, I would change all of the seats in the Porsche garage for the new GT2 seats. They track better than the Recaro racing seat I used in the CGT.

I don't know if it's a typo but Suncoast describes the GT2 seats as lightweight at 25lbs, it seams very light (same as 997 GT3 seats) with tilt feature and airbags.
If they are really at 25lbs, it's quiet an achievement and an engineering tour de force. Would be the best seats around...

It's a typo. Porsche literature states that the GT2 seats save 7kg over standard sports seats and the Euro GT3 seats save 24kg.
