You guys crack me up. Your driving GT3RS's and other amazing cars on the track and??? Whats a few grand for a weekend of fun? IMO it is worth every penny being out there. I figure on average my wife and I spend $2k for a local event and $3500 for an event further away. This is just for gas, lodging, meals and event fees, not including tires, brakes etc.

What bugs me is it cost about $300 to $800 less last year because of gas prices.

I don't have to work from october-feb...nice little benefit of working 28.7 days per month from feb-sept 30th...

point was at my local track here in texas, it's about 1k per month for just about all the tracking I can stand(10+ days)...whereas I'll burn that up in 3 days back in CA!

I know the car well, 2 tone light gray seats classic gray dash and carpets with rootwood shifter IIRC. Not hard to keep track of them since there are only 3.

I want your job. I work 6 days a week and vacation only for track days. The joys of owning a small business.

Have fun this fall. It sounds like the days years ago when I would get 30 to 45 days of skiing in now I am lucky if I get 2.

Pls specify the circuit name, the duration and cost per car

Let me get the ball rolling...

* Sepang International F1 Circuit (3 hour session) - SGD 170 per driver
Good schools like CCA.... 400 to 600/ weekend.

Private day with Craig stanton 2000/ day

I have seen many events selling "endless tracktime" for cheaper and it works for few. But you just never learn.

Its like golf or any other sport. You need coaching and more coaching if you want to enjoy this sport the fullest. I just see too many students attracted by more track time but learning curve stays same for longer period. I just cant say enough.... I learn so much from private coaching from Pro drivers like Craig Stanton or VJ. Or find someone who has more experience than you who loves to teach. Good driver does not mean fastest driver. Fastest or Good driver isnt always best coach. My 02.

Thomas I agree completely- let me also add that smartest guy doesn't make best coach or driver, it's all about how to communicate what needs to be communicated!

$65 - $260 a day depending on which track and PCA or local race school. Additional $150 a day for a driving coach. I get one about once a quarter to work on specific goals.

Silverstone GP circuit is typically around $600 for a 30 minute sessioned day

Spa is about the same.

You can get days on good circuits in the UK for as little as $200 but they tend to be low noise limits, sessions and out of season.
