Default Alignment Specifications for my GT3

Just returned from Dan Jacobs' Hairy Dog Grrrage and here are the specifications:

Front:
-2.3 degrees camber
7.5 degrees caster
0.04 degrees toe
Sway set on 3
Left 663 lbs / right 657 lbs

Cross weight 1717 left / 1721 right

Rear:
-2.1 degrees camber
0.17 degrees toe
Sway set on 2
Left 1060 lbs / right 1058 lbs

Alignment includes full tank of gas (just worked out that way), stock wheels which are + 30 lbs overall), and 170 lbs ballast in driver's seat representing me with helmet, gloves, etc. Overall weight looks to be 3438 - 30 for wheels - 50 for excess gas - 170 for me = 3188 lbs?

I would be interested in knowing what moving the rear sway did to change the car from you point of view as stock is full stiff

Default alignment

Looks good. Now you have to go out and play.

I think that you should try the rear sway bar on full soft and see how you like the handling. Placing the rear bar on full stiff, in my experience, may mitigate push, but give you a twitchy rear end which might bite you worse than the push.

Keeping the bars "neutral" like you have them set now is certainly the best compromise of both worlds.

+1 I think the RS drivers will tell you full stiff on the rear bar, but the RS seems to have issues with severe understeer that most of the GT3's simply do not have.

Hey Ron,

Do you have PCCB or conventional brakes?

I would like to get to the point to balance the car I need to get a bit more grip in the front first so I can soften the rear sway one back from full stiff to make the car a little more neutral. I think the GT3 stock has allot of push in it, but going to more of an aggressive alignment helps a ton. I was thinking about moving both sways softer Rear one back from the factory full stiff and the front full soft, anyone experiment with this?

Stock brakes (in fact, the car is a very low option one - just silver paint and fire extinguisher).

I also had a specialized Softronic file installed that really woke up and smoothed the throttle map - much better now, easier to modulate / shift, etc.
