Safrona's group does a great job with those cars. There's one out here in So Cal driven by a husband/wife team. I instructed her in the car last year and I was impressed by the car's handling and braking for such a heavy car.

You may be beating up on Cups in DE's, but......

Agreed,,,,,,, that's all I will say about that.., I did have a couple of cup cars over the last few years that were easier to drive consistently
right out of the box. Nothing trumps a cup car for all around use

But I can say 2:01s 2:02s VIR full is decent pace for de's with the traffic... But I know its no race car nothing like my old cup ... But on grid I can run my AC.... LOL

Just interesting so many folks told me they can't be driven fast ..

I rode in the GT2 yesterday at WSIR as well. I came away with the same impressions...it made short work of the straights, awesome braking, and I couldn't believe how tossed around we got in 8. I never realized how bumpy it is through there...

No way VJ would be caught dead in a GT2.

Besides, I've driven the 997 GT2 and my new ride will out perform it on the track, let alone my track car. And.... who needs ceramic brakes....

I drove the 997 GT2 in question at Willow Springs that weekend. I was surprised that the PCCBs needed more heat in them than I gave them for the proper feel and how sensitive the car was to wind in turn eight.
The car is not VJ's.
