I saw a real nice, what appeared to be a RS, on the highway yesterday when going home from work. what are the exterior visual cues that would differentiate a RS from a standard GT3?? the paint scheme on the car that i saw appeared to be that of the RS and the rear spoiler was also from a RS, but when the car passed to get on a off ramp I noticed that the rear badge stated GT3. I thought that the RS also had the RS badge. Is there a lot of RS cloning from the GT3 guys...whatever it was it looked real sharp and had a real nice exhaust note.

Normally says GT3 RS and the rear wing is different from GT3,just a simple CF blade. RS is the widebody, normal GT3 is the narrowbody. If using stock wheels RS has an RS insignia on centre cap. RS has a yellow centring stripe in the steergin wheel,(not sure re GT3)

from the ext, paint scheme, decals and wings. but all of those can be modified to "RS look a like".
if you look at enough RS vs GT3's you will get a sense of the width of the rear end. RS is wider by a little bit. but it takes a lot of time staring at the two cars before you can figure out which is which without the presence of the other.

Easiest way to tell for sure (in the US) is whether it has a sunroof (GT3) or not (GT3RS). So far I've seen two regular GT3s with RS stripes and rear wing, and of course not all RS have stripes.
Of course it's possible to replace the roof panel of a GT3 to eliminate the sunroof, but only a few are crazy enough to do that...

If you can see where the tailight meets the outside edge of the bumper cover, you will notice a one inch wide space as seen on my C4S below. I noticed this a couple of months ago. The tailights are the same for both, so the wider C4S bumper cover sticks out as opposed to the CS or GT3 where the transition from the tailight to the bumper cover is smooth!

Also, the widebody cars have a plastic rocker under the door. I wish the narrow body cars had this as well because the rocker gets blasted pretty good by rocks on the track.
