Default GT3 Cabrio?

I know hard core track guys will be against this. I have been thinking of replacing my florida car (must be a soft top). Has anyone done a conversion using a carrera open top body. Then swap GT3 drivetrain, suspension, harnesses, computers, bumpers etc. to have essentially an edgier cabriolet?

Possibly a wrecked 996 GT3 to 996 cab?

The only option is a Ruf cab version at 6 bazillion dollars.

Just get a turbo cab and do some aftermarket suspension work. Or get a new Elise SC if you really want edgy.

How about a speedster-style instead of a cab with no roof, just a rollbar.

I'm reporting this post to the Porsche Police! And I just heard that the Supreme Court has ruled lethal injection to be constitutional.

Ok, while your idea originally caused me to swallow my tongue, I think if you have the time, money and technical capability, building a 996 GT3 Cab would be an awesome project. Not sure the end result would be all that good as either a cab or a GT3, but the project itself could be excellent.

TurboS and you can boost it all you want. They cost of what you are asking would be massive.

Lets see global warming, swarming locust, and now a proposed gt3 cabrio, its official the end of time is near…….Turbo cab would be a great choice.

Lets just leave the 3's alone and perhaps return to the pre-ejecto seat roof days.

Turbo cabs are two soft, heavy and the whole lag thing, also do not look as good. If the car is not going to be tracked who cares about rigidity and all the loyal hard top/hard core BS. For that I have the coupe.

It would be a unique car, all factory parts as these cars age ten years on you will see this done.
