Longtime lurker with a question.
Those of you who have replaced your tires, did you get OEM Cups or the regular cups? I've read that the regular Cups are superior to the OEM Cups in every way other than wet grip. Will replacing the rears with Cups but keeping the OEM Cups up front upset the balance of the car?
I know most of the track junkies are getting Hoosiers, Toyos, etc but I'm not at that level. I'll probably just replace the rears so Pirelli's are probably out of the question for now as well.
Thanks
Sorry for the typo on the subject line but I don't know how to fix it.

WHere would you get Old CUps? would Fabryce know? I just ordered MPSCs off Tire rack and
that gives me 5000 miles to decide what to do next. I know the R888s or either here or on the way
in 19s so thats what I am going to do next, Use Mootys advice.
There are also rumors that a set of Nice FIKSEs are on there way to the high desert.

i am not sure real cups come in right size for the rear of GT3.
but that's several months ago, maybe they have it now?

It seems availability might make this decision for me. I will check some places to see if they're around.
Thanks

18" MPSCs.
Porsche N0 "MPSCs" (note the quotes) on the track -- just say NO!
Hoosier R6 in 18" works well with the 997 GT3. Wears out faster than MPSCs but not dramatically so. Although driving on them to the track may be a bit interesting.
