Default WTB Narrobody 997 Track Wheels

I need a set of lightweight forged track wheels for my 997 Narrowbody. Something like a BBS RSGT, Champion RS98, or similar would be fine. Silver / titanium finish preferred. Ultimate find would be a set of 19x8.5 and 19x11.5 with TPMS and Pilot Sport Cups. Please PM me.

Thanks,
Ron

Curious Ron - why TPMS on track wheels? As I understand it the TPMS system isn't terribly accurate...

It's not for the accuracy... I ran the stock PS2s last spring as I learned the new car and liked the concept of knowing at least when there was a failure on the way. A few years prior in my M3 I had a valve stem fail due to track debris hitting it. I had no idea until the back end got loose and I have a sense that if I was at 36 PSI and lost several PSI quickly, TPMS would have shot a warning. Then in the summer / fall I was running 18" R-comps without TPMS and what really bothered me was the warning lights coming on, beeping, etc. You're in the Esses flat at Watkins Glen and a beep goes off and you don't know what it is and can't really react until you are into the main straight - the beep of course was nothing - just the system telling my my TPMS still isn't working.

So, for me it's $400 for some insurance that I'll at least get a heads-up if I start to lose pressure and it will also stop the system from yelling at me all day that my TPMS isn't working

Hey Ron,

what happened to your dedicated track car? I thought you're using the 997S for the street now...

The C2 was great last Saturday at Lime Rock - visceral, fast, fun. But, it's a bit much for my son (18) who is in Green and my daughter will start DE next June upon her 18th. I think a street car with just some minor tweaking (suspension and sways) is a better / safer platform for your first DEs, vs. a full-blown race car.
