Default Adding coolant to GT3???

I need to add a little coolant to my GT3. In the manual, it just says "only use antifreeze authorized by Porsche". When I called the dealership, they said they only know to use "Porsche brand". They have some, but it is an hour away.

Does anyone know if there is another brand I can use that I could pick up from the local Autozone??

Thanks,

DK

you want phosphate free antifreeze. Porsche, BMW and Honda generally specify their own antifreeze. It likely is best to use their brand, but for a small amount to top off, a phosphate free AF is likely OK. Prestone and others make a phosphate free AF. Some are premixed, ideal for top off. Use distilled water if you mix it.

if you need just a tiny amount, sure add whatever you like.
if you need more, use porsche coolant. it looks very different than other coolants, feels different too.

manual say it's lifetime fill (or at least it last a good while) i rather have the correct coolant in there.
