Anyone know who totaled their GT3rs on Canon Drive in Point Loma, San Diego a couple days ago -- Orange with Black?
Must have spun it getting on the gas on the first turn, hit the curb and rolled it... hope everyone was OK. No other cars seemed involved -- I saw the clean up heading home.

Saw them loading it on the flatbed on the way home from the office... nasty stuff.
Like I said it doesn't look like there were any other cars involved -- and hope to god no pedestrians...
Canon (pronounced Canyon) is a nice, short stretch of road that runs up the floor of a small canyon or barranca -- and *very* tempting to let it fly on... but unfortunately it is *right* in the middle of the sleepy little town of Point Loma in San Diego... about 75 yards from where the wreck happened is the end of the 25mph school zone for Cabrillo Elementary... judging from the skid marks, it "looks" like the driver went through the school zone heading up Canon and nailed the throttle around the first turn (which has a small pothole/depression right where your right front tire would be if you hit the apex that you have to avoid). I'm guessing/hoping that he just snap spun the car, hit the curb and went up the cliff wall and landed flat on the roof... hoping because that would mean it wasn't a high speed incident.
Unfortunately that path would have taken him right through a wide bike lane that is used by kids, old folks and commuters... there's a big chunk taken out of the coping where the car hit...
If the driver was coming down the hill... well then they were probably going really fast, lost it, spun across oncoming traffic and were just about to go into a school zone crosswalk at who knows what speed...
Sometimes natural selection works...

- that pic shows you why you should have at least a half cage if you track your car
- hope everyone involved is ok
- horribly off topic but does a car like that end up parted out on Ebay or equivalent
