Thank you.

No they're not chrome. I agree though, they would look a whole lot better in a brushed or charcoal finish.

The RG5 and the Fiske are both good looking to but they only come in an 11" rear.....You can still run an 305 on that. Not much more then that though.

I think the RG5 11" x 19"rears are roughly 21 lbs. each. which is light!

That is my main goal: weight reduction, muffler bypass, then re-tune.....Done.

The RG5's do come in 12" rears, they just don't seem to advertise them. The set I have were made specifically for the 997 GT3 fitment. Call them for the right size.

I've posted the weights before, but couldn't find the old post. The 12" rears were just over 21 pounds though. Fronts were just over 20. And yes, I love them!

As to why I'll not go with HRE's again, I don't want to get onto a bashfest, so I'll just sum up by saying that their customer service is sure not what it used to be. I started dealing with HRE around the fall of 1995, & I currently still own 5 sets. After my last repair experience & trying to deal with them, I'm done buying their wheels.

BTW, I'm suprised to hear that Fikse can't make you a 12" wheel?

I have a set of RS98s on my car. The wheels weigh a combined 31-32 lbs less than stock.

Was that weight savings instantly noticable when driving the car?

Thanks.

Is that possible or do you have to get the whole polished rim?

And bookem Danny boy!
I just think that the polished lip is a "Lack of commitment" issue. The whole black-out thing is no where near as "Trendy" as the black - with polished lip look.

In my opinion, a non-black look for a GT Silver car is more appropriate. A deep dish silver-polished lip look would be better. IE:

And my favorite... BBS RS-Gt's

Can't say yet. I have only had the car out once since getting them on the car and did not really drive that aggressively to notice.

If you're going the modular direction, why not opt for some LM-Rs from BBS...

BBS is still one of the leaders in wheel technology, and has much more racing pedigree behind their name then some of these newer companies.
