Default OT: I knew my job was Mickey Mouse but this is rediculous!!

This is a mickey mouse club video 40 years ago of where I work!! Some of the stuff is still there. The sidewinder missile is still in devolpment and that missile tracker is still out on the range and we still use that rail track and we still blow stuff up. I hope you guys enjoy this

There are more videos on China Lake there on You tube-gives a perspective of what we do here. If its on the mickey mouse club I guess I can talk about some of the stuff.

Brings back interesting memories especially seeing the single seat fleet version of the Grumman "Led Sled" - I flew the two seater version both as a student and then after returning from Vietnam as an instructor. As a maintenace test pilot one of the tests of the flying tail involved getting the aircraft to supersonic. On many a Texas morning, I remember climbing to 40,000 feet and then pointing the plane at the ground - the only way to get it to mach 1. Oh the stupid things we did when young.
