Sorry if it wasn't clear, the 10.5 and 11mm apply to the 997.2 Carrera vs. the 997.1 Carrera non-DFI motors.

I was just quoting the differences since I posted the Variocam Plus figure.

BTW the new 991 (most likely the next GT3 will have a similar DFI motor) uses the faster EMS SDI 9 control unit from Continental (Siemens) to control the VarioCam Plus.

For the 991, both engine versions are still equipped with it but the adjustment range is now 50° crank angle. Also the vane adjuster has an aluminium housing in order to optimise weight.
