Since I just got the 996 race seats installed I am not quite sure what to do with the OEM seats - keep them in case someone wants it when I sell the car?
Or save myself the storing aggravation and sell them to someone that can put them to good use?
I'm sure many of you have done this so is there a consensus, or a demand for the OEM seats?

keep them... if you have the storage. There's so many different seats now for the 997/Cayman series it's not even funny. You'll have trouble finding a set should you ever sell the car later on...

You mean the fixed GT3 seats for Harness use?
IMHO
Unless you think you will sell the car in the next year or so, I'd sell them NOW. You need to shrink wrap them and store them properly to protect against humidity. There is a reasonable demand for them now. Sometimes even short supply. I might have bought them from you last fall when I got mine for example. They are a compromise track seat. They new GT2 seats seem more convenient. A lot of people are twittering about them (still a compromise I guess), but insanely expensive. I am sure the price will go down as Porsche comes out with variants of the GT2/3 seat made with less exotic materials over the next couple of years.
Just my humble opinion.

What seats do you have - adaptives? What color? I might be interested. Thanks.

Dan, please try reading the first sentence of his post. He said OEM seats. Any US GT3 owner knows the fixed buckets are not factory equipped in the states.
RQ: Personally I'd keep them. There's a good chance that the new owner will want them at the time of sale. Not having them might limit your interested buyers.
On the other hand, I'd bet that there are a few non-GT3 owners wanting to upgrade to the Alcantara seats.

I know they don't come with the fixed buckets OEM in the US. Air bags etc.. Just making sure we are talking about the same thing.
