ps. I had a 997 GT3 at Laguna in January '07 and passed sound with just the clothes dryer duct (from Home Depot) with some old 993 Turbo heat exchanger rubber. Worked perfectly -- even WOT with Sport on. Without the ducts, I was getting black flagged. Even with the ducts on another day, low clouds were enough to get the car black flagged. Tedious.
you must be always luck!!!
i drove my RS and another 997gt3, 4th gear or 3rd gear, both WOT, sport off, way way left of track, both had 90 deg turn downs, one day was cloudy one day was sunny, the best i got was 94db.

Doug
i dont know his wheels, but jim is on RA1 245/305.

i am on C10 9" and 12", R888 255/315, 99.9% no rubbing at rear, i did see small paint chip inside of fender lip, which i presume to be "rubbing".

front always rubs at more than 1/2 lock. car is fully stock as far as suspension.
above is 996.

if you are asking 997, which i just realized....
i run c14 9" and 12", RA1 245/305, absolutely no rubbing. i dont feel rubbing even at full lock (i didn't look at it, i dont feel it). i will run 255/315 next.

Indeed, I believe I am always luck. : )

Perhaps my silent passage is a benefit from all those years of training with Chuck Norris at a Shoalin temple.
