Someone who runs Nitrogen filled tires on the track, please tell me how much of an increase in pressure you get when the tires are filled with Nitrogen vs "air". For example, if I gain 8 psi on air, how much will I gain on Nitrogen?
Thanks
Thanks

Any increase should be the same as using "air".

Probably around 6 lbs. on nitrogen. Remember air is already almost 79% nitrogen. It's the moisture in ambient air that causes the greater expansion....
I still get 8-10 lbs gains in the rears in my Cup on N, about 6-8 fronts. I would imagine air would be 2-3 lbs. more.

I've seen 10 lbs and above running the toyos with air. 4-6 with nitrogen running same tires.

How much you will gain depends on how much moisture remains in the tire. Many tire shops mount your tire with air and wet the bead causing lots of moisture inside the tire. at that point, if you fill it with Nitrogen you will still get similar rises in pressure.
After mounting I take the valve stem and let the tires sit for a couple days in a dry environment. Then fill with Nitrogen. I get about half the increase in pressure compared to air.
