Default Spacers with TE37s?

I have been debating on a set of Volk TE37 wheels for track/street. I really like the Volk TE37s based on past experience and price. However, for the rears with 19x12, the offset is 65 mm which is fine for the GT3, but not the RS. Any thoughts on replacing the stock 5mm spacers in the rear with the Porsche 17mm spacers or to make up for the high offset on the volks? I was hoping Volk would make them in a lower offset, but haven't heard any news of that.

No reason it would not work. Just use good spacers and the proper hardware. I can set you up with wheels and spacers if interested. Call me.

Just make sure you get long enough lug bolts for whatever spacer you run. I'm sure Damon at Tire Rack can help you with that stuff.

Damon, tell Trent (Chris) Harvey and John Rogers I said hi!

If u really like that rims for the RS, then definitely u need to put some spacers..
I hv looked thru the RAYS web and yes, there isnt one for RS fitment.

Meanwhile, I m looking fwd to installing the TE37 on my GT3. Will post some pics when all in.

Raymondgo,
Thanks for the link. The car pictured is a GT3, not RS. So I need to get larger spacers to run the wheel wider. After speaking with Damon@tirerack, you can use an 18mm H&R spacer that will put the offset close to stock, just 1mm too positive.

I love mine. They're really strong too. I hit a tire wall at VIR and it bent my (brand new) GT3 control arm, but the wheel stayed solid and true. Pretty impressive. Plus, they look gangsta.

Thanks Blakt out. They look great. If I get TE37s, I am undecided on color:
gunmetal, bronze or special order a set in satin black.

Have you looked at the CCW wheels out of Daytona Beach, FL. John will build you a wheel with out the need for spacers. Lots of guys including me use the for track days and racing.

I like the CCWs alot. However, I am biased towards the TE37s from past experience and really like the design.

Hey guys. I just decided to sell mine. If you're interested, PM me. I'm thinking I'm going to go full out race car this winter. I have 4 sets of wheels for this car. No need. I'll give someone a steal.

One set 19" TE37s. MPSCs on them. Corded, so no tires. See pic above.
One set 18" HRE C93s. Matte black with red time attack stripe. HREs lightest wheel, and in the competition series. Toyo R888s. Probably been through 3 heat cycles. Maybe 4. Tires have a good amount of life left.
One set 19" Carrera S lobster claws. Black from Porsche. With MPSC probably 60% life left.
One set 20" Avus AF-MO2 wheels. Street tires included. 60% life left.

I have had many PMs on the tires. I'll have to get all the specifics tomorrow. It's midnight and I'm not going to freeze my *** off in the shed right now.

Oh, and CCWs are great too. I have a set on another car and highly recommend John and company.
