Whyb2nd

There are a few of us that own p-cars. The GT3 has been on our Alb. concrete lined track and the RS has gone on some reconnisance missions out to the NM VLA and alien lands. I do not think the RS will be going to concrete wall race track though it will go out to Spring Mountain soon. So where can five of us go for a drive that we will gather no attention?

Elise, Early, Drqiman

Any ideas about the drive?

make that 6, my friend just moved back to SF from FL and wants to get with some local porsche people.

as far as location I would suggest Madrid, the mine shaft for burgers and a photo shoot up the road by the old coal mine( my friend is just shy of a prof. photographer). Then perhaps head south through the twisties to I40 into albq. and up to SF, nice loop. obviously we would want to wait for warmer weather.

I'm up for anything; I don't know the best areas to drive; I hardly ever leave the city.

Naparsei

The open Track days at Arroyo Seco are a great time. There are ASR sports car days Jan 27, Feb 2, March 15, April 20. Weather should be pretty good there. I am going to Rolex 24 on the 27th, I might be able to do Feb 2, or Mar 15. Not sure though whether everyone wants to go the track.

The trip through Madrid sounds fun. But maybe go back around through Galisteo from Santa Fe and south to I-40 from there.

may I come down from Seattle? Just need to wait until the snow clears the mountains. March? April? I will be doing a lap of the West. WA-Ca-AZ-NM-UT-back home. Trying to get track days in the mix.

The Southern Arizona PCA has a DE Feb 23-24 at Arroyo Seco. I will be going so maybe some of you guys may want to check it out. I know of some nice roads in the area around Ruidoso. It is a 3.5 hour drive from Albuquerque or SF.

I don't want to give out any personal info on a public post, but are you the guy who traded the Viper for your friend's 997 turbo (code name, The Hair Cutter), which he originally ordered?

If so, then we have met before. When you picked up your car, I was at the dealer with my dark blue Elise. I have talked with your buddy on several occasions including when he traded his red Z06 for the 335i.

If so, maybe we could get together one of these weekends to talk cars and maybe do a comparo of my GT3 with your Turbo. I still have not driven a 997 Turbo, and would love a ride, and maybe even a test drive swap!

I intend on going on to this; when it's closer to that date, we should talk and hook up down there. I don't know if I will trailering my 951 race car or just driving the GT3 down.

I'm talking much more time off from my business this year and intend to track the car as much as I can. I always wanted to do this but hardly ever had the time, now it's time while I'm young.....well kinda young.
