Default 997 gt3 market value

I've recently thought of selling my RSA to buy a 996 or 997 GT3 -- more interested in the latter. I've recently seen low mileage cars on dealer lots, as well as in the hands of private parties, selling for what seems to be MSRP. Anyone's experience or idea as to the market value/availability on 1) a low mileage 07 GT3 and 2) an ordered car.

You should be able to get these cars at sticker, at least on the east coast.

if you can find low milers or new cars for MSRP, buy them. it's very hard to find them below MSRP, especially in CA.

Yes, I saw the two cars in Atlanta near MSRP were quickly sold. I'm thinking of ordering, though I'm not fond of waiting and have no need for the aesthetically oriented options. A plain vanilla low option white or silver car would be fine with me.

If you're patient and call around, you can find a car at MSRP, new or very lightly used. That's what I did. That barrier car linked to above is a consignment car. There's no way I'd pay $20k-$30k over MSRP for a new car much less a used one! Because it's a used car, they're probably hoping a Canadian buyer will pickup the car since the Canadian dollar has grown stronger relatively and Porsche hasn't adjusted pricing for US and Canada as of yet. This is essentially the story I got when talking to a sales person at Barrier about the absurdity of their used car prices in general. In any case, good luck in your search and don't pay over MSRP!

If you're serious, take half a day and call the 200+ Porsche dealerships to find a slightly used car - my bet is that you'll find what your looking for at MSRP on the East Coast.

+ 1. That's what I did. You need to call them in person to inquire about availability. If you go by what's listed online, it's already gone when you call them. I called about 50 dealers all over the county (all the larger ones that are most likely to have cars) and eventually found one. I was getting calls for a couple weeks after that with more cars available. They can be had for MSRP but you will probably need to settle for lightly used now.

I paid 5,000 over the sticker in the mid west in august. the seller paid for the shipping to deliver it to my doorstep from NJ. I wanted one, i found one, and i was not willing to wait any longer?

New or Used? That is not bad at all if the seller paid for shipping. So you really only paid $3 or $3.5K over sticker. Not a big deal.

yes -- arrived and looking good (996 cup wheel with qr) -- not installed yet...

with qr -- no horn button -- won't fit... so not the most aesthetically pleasing piece... but I am going to install it and see what I think... if I never actually release it... then off with the qr and put the horn button in...

sorry for the brief threadjack

back to 997 market values - which I think are damn strong right now...

someone cough up a 10000 mile car for $90K and give me a call!
