Default Front Suspension Movement

I know there's been lots of traffic in recent years about suspension noise on the 997 cars. I can't find anything specific about my latest issue however.

My 2007 GT3 exhibits a definite shifting movement (and thumping noise) in the front right suspension when I first back out of the garage. My garage is arranged so I have to back out while also turning to the left. The car is new to me but has a little over 6000 miles on the clock.

I suspect something is loose, however, steering and suspension seem tight once I get going. I don't feel the suspension shift again in subsequent backing after the car has been run.

Anyone have experience with something similar? Thanks much.

Take it to the dealer. They can install listening devices to the suspension components to help figure out what's causing the noise. It could be something as simple as a mounting bolt not being torqued correctly.

Sounds like one of the front drop links needs to be tighter at the sway bar.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll get it in to the dealer right after the holidays.
