Default Revised GT3 RSR?

- Just breezing thru latest Excellence issue and part of a caption in a story titled- Thrashof the Titans states "Word is the 997 GT3 RSR will be heavily revised for 2008, including narrow bodywork... and at the end the articule speculates , to the effect..it obvious that they must switch to a new mid-engined ( very interesting) GTas the way forward.
While interesting in itself, what might happen to future GT3's and RS's, perhaps more so w/ an RS as they are looking for better aero vs wider rubber?
Will this become a homologation issue w/ the basic GT3?

many guys (racers) found that the 996 was more stream-lined and thus more slippery than that of the RSR's width and moderately excessive convexities...perhaps this "narrowing" is to recapture some of that slickness...no word as far as I know wrt a mid-engine....

I guess we'll have to sit tight and let things unfold.
