Default GT3 mk2 Manual v PDK

Which one for you?

When I first heard about PDK for GT3, I say I must try that, but after I have driven my manual 360 today, I gonna stick with manual.

Definitely manual for me. Enjoy them while you can still get them.

Been waiting years for a clutchless manual from Porsche (ever since I had my E46 M3 with SMG). That will allow me to get the most out of my driving at the track, and left foot brake 100% of the time.

Decided to stick 1 more year with the 997S b/c the difference now for me with the GT3 is marginal (I have cup control arms and -3.5 neg camber in front), while with a PDK....

A Mk2 997GT3 with PDK? This is still logical speculation, and would be quite a way off.

My dealer told me that a DSG type of system will be out for 2009 but could not confirm if it would be on all Porsche models. He would not tell me where we got this info but I do know for a fact that Patrick Long was in this dealership last month.

I think it's interesting that the new Audi A5 and S5, the first models on their latest platform, are offered with traditional manuals and automatics. No DSG/S-tronic (at least not yet).

Perhaps we'll see it on Porsches in 2009, but now I'm not so sure.
