Basically that the GT3 kicked the M3's *** in acceleration and handling, they stated it is basically a race car. They went on to say the M3 is a better daily driver and will cost less for insurance, maintenance, etc. The ending stated that the GT3 owner will hate the grippy tires at the latest in the rain as they offer no grip then. Blah, Blah, blah. They basically said that for the price point and daily drive ability the M3 wins.
Sorry but just watching the sexy lines and all buisness interior on the GT3, and the way it walked all over the M3, I have to disagree with the verdict. If I want a daily driver I will drive my wife's car

I think it shows the new M3 is so improved, that against a C2S it willl be even for less $

The 2005 C2S matches the 2008 M3 quarter mile time of 12.8 seconds (road and track, car and driver) and it handles better. This is from a car with 65 less hp and that is 3 years older. Give the C2S a powerkit or better yet, wait for the facelift, and it will blow the M3 away.

I use my Exige S as a daily driver with no problems; I love it. When I get my GT3 in 10 days and 11 hours and 34 minutes, I expect to have the ultimate daily driver/enthusiast/track car. Like they said the bmw is a bargain and is more practical, do it winds the comparo, but the GT3 wins the hearts of all automobile drivers.
Besides, with a trunk in the front and all that room behind you where there are usually seats, you are not losing out too much in practicallity.

Porsche doesn't build a car that compares with the E92 M3. For that matter, the only other cars in the front-engine, rear-drive, manual-trans, four-seat, two-door category are the G37, 612 Scaglietti, and Mustang. If we double the door count and driven wheels, we can add RS4 and S4. Obviously slim pickins.
We can go on about the 997's inherent superiority, but no matter how you cut it (pardon the pun), you can't fit a bicycle, two people, and lots of stuff inside a 911 without removing both wheels. The E92 M3 is meant to be a fast, comfortable street car with sporting pretensions. For someone who needs the interior space, the M3 is the only player in the market at that price point.
