Default Need "Slick "size verification

Looking at running Michelin slicks on the 996 GT3. The suspension is now complete as well as the new transmission gearing. I just need to clarify the correct size slicks to run? I have been told that the Cup tire size will not work on a standard GT3? 24/64-18,27/68-18 I suspect it has to do with gearing (ring & pinion) and the ECU? Any suggestions.

If you are asking about slick sizes for a 996 GT3, you might have better luck on the 996 GT2/GT3 forum.

The cup sizes will not work because of the ABS on the 996 GT3. I THINK they will work on the 997 GT3 though. If it is in fact a 996 GT3 that you need them for then:
Michelin 24/64-18 fronts and 27/65-18 rears (Not sure if these are available anymore). Check with JD Motorsports
Pirelli 245/645-18 fronts and 305/645-18 rears
Yokohama and Dunlop also have comparable sizes - check with Bob Woodman for the Yoks and Pirelli's
Sasco has the Dunlops.

GT3 Nut has the size right. Watch out for the S8A tires in the back! The steel cord doesn't seem to like GT3s, search Analog Mike or me?
