The GT2 seats will be cheaper than the GT3 carbon seats.

Says who?

The new design is considerably more complex than the 997 GT3 buckets. Side hinges, backrest locking mechanism, passenger side airbag sensor, thorax airbag module & airbag, not to mention that carbon is only 1 of the structural components of this seat, whereas the GT3 is basically just 1 big piece of carbon fiber (simple).

At least they should be according to the foreign Porsche configurators. Adding these seats as an option on non GT3s is less than adding the CF seats as an upgrade from the GT3 sports seats. You can extrapolate the price as maybe being 20-25% less or so than the CF seats. Also, someone earlier stated that they saw an option of these for the USA on a Cayman for $3100. Not to say these seats will cost $3100 as an ordered item at the parts department, but they won't cost $10000/pair like the GT3 CF seats based on this pricing.

Will these seats (with 5 or 6 point driving harness) be allowed at PCA DE events?

I can't imagine why they wouldn't - They are Porsche OEM. I'm sure the world market would not allow unsafe seats - I'm guessing these seats would be TUV / US Federally approved.

But, like in most club chapters, you need the same seat and belts for both driver and passenger...
