My car was a May 14 build and is not part of the recall.

According to the Porsche tech that I spoke to...the answer is NO.....hence the factory allowed time (what they will pay the dealer) to do both fronts is 40 time units, which I understand translates into 20 minutes.

Just a heads up to everyone...my car is not part of the campaign BUT my dealer re-torqued the screws anyway. My screws were loose. And if I heard the mechanic correctly, the new torque standard is higher than what the factory did.

I wonder if this affects mine. Does it say at all which VIN range is affected?

I called 800 porsche and gave the lady my complete VIN# She knows if there are any recalls or campaigns on your car. Your dealer can do this too. I was glad my dealer checked my screws.

I did not receive notification. I called 1-800-PORSCHE with my VIN. My car is part of the campaign. It was a January 2007 build.

I emailed my service advisor and asked about this and it appears that mine (Sept 2006 build) is not affected.

I'd have them torqued anyway.
