Thanks, I've had more 997 RS's than I can count for inventory, it didn't take me long to find one I liked (and was easy to know a good one when I found it), but it took a very long time to save up enough to buy one personally that I would feel comfortable driving completely guilt free...am still in my mid 20s, so my piggy bank only started growing at any rate in the past ~5 years. I won't buy a car if I can't also afford to use it as intended. I put 4k km on in the first 2 weeks of ownership, and can't wait to keep driving.

 

Very nice!!!, there's quite a few Spa and Nurburgring trackdays happening this season, any plans to enjoy these whilst the car is in it's Homeland?

 

I took my orange .1 RS to Nurburgring and Hockenheim 2 years ago, pretty much got it out of my system (these tracks are far beyond my driving skillset at this point, filled with far faster drivers than myself). I have however been enjoying my favourite racetrack Germany has to offer, the autobahan 🤣
I plan to change to an RS 4.0 sport design steering wheel when the car arrives to north america (already purchased the wheel), not a big fan of the stock wheel in these 3.8RS, too big, preferred my .1 steering wheel.

Driving the car for the first time in 4 months was amazing. I was giddy like a child, with a smile plastered. I threw a quick 400 miles in the first weekend, enjoying our rare, nice weather. I'll be posting a more significant update in my journal thread.
I bought the complete Kline inconel system(200 Cell) and the Cargraphic valve control module. Very happy with the combo. My favorite part of the system is the duality of it. Valves open are almost straight pipes, and valves closed to use the side mufflers, so it is nice and quiet. Here's a photo of the system on my engine. The the green line is valves open, and the red line is closed.

 

Thats awesome. Bet it sounds great. I like the triple combination.

I'd love to her this IRL. With valves closed is it actually quiet or is the RS just loud in general? My dundon street/loud setup sounds exactly the same valves closed or open while at highway speeds (i also run a valve controller since oem valve movement is atrocious).

 

I find valves close to be quiet(er). Nice on long drives to the track or when I want to be more discreet. But agree you'd need to hear it IRL. But there is a difference between open and closed on this system.
