he is a super driver...if you think about it, when people start arguing about ring times set by drivers like him, is so irrelevant for the rest of us. A lesser car with Rohrl will be so much faster than the supercar driven by me....

Ring times are to compare cars not drivers. That is why the Sport Auto times are the benchmark comparisons. Even if WR is sometimes faster.

I don't know if there any old vids still around, but if you get a chance to see his footwork, it's incredible. You'd think he was dancing on E or something, just amazing!

Actually, he talks about that with the second passenger. In his mind its down to setting up the corner and modulating the throttle through it. I am not sure what he actually means but it sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

he is talking about the car being setup to first understeer and then go into power oversteer.

he is driving with as much throttle to just NOT have any grip so that he can keep the car oversteering as long as possible and have more fun and have his passengers have more fun for the money they paid!

Of course he would not do that in a race.

So this "old" guy is actually still having fun at work after doing this for ages.
