Even if the coming recession does not occur,

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/376760-with-recession-coming.html

$50K above invoice is still plain wishful thinking. Good luck!

I spoke to a guy at Scottsdale Porsche and they had an offer of $50K over for one of the first cars and turned it down. The only reason I am not keeping it is because I am about to buy a 2002 GT2.

Hmm. I think you guys are misreading his post. He's not asking for $50K nor $25K over. He's just offering his position to anyone interested with the highest offer over MSRP. This could range from MSRP to $7K (latest going price for a non-RS that can be fully spec'd out, I think).

True, it appears he's only looking for best offer over MSRP for a non-RS GT3.
And he was so kind to mention he's not gouging for $25K or $50K over MSRP like some Porsche dealers though we're not sure if he's just an individual seller or a dealer.
So it seems he may have a MSRP or better deal in his hands.
Which would mean you could possibly get a MSRP or better deal also, though you mentioned that the going price over MSRP is up to $7K.
Thank goodness he's not gouging.

When the 2009 GT3 MkII is confirmed with Direct Injection, more power, facelift, and PSM (mixed bag on this one), I think that will take care of the speculators on the MkI.

Now, if we could only get sunroof-delete in the US for the MkII, that would REALLY solve the issue...

before someone flames me about there being no difference between 2007 and 2008 cars, I know that... all I am saying is that a 2008 car is very hard to come by and I am not sure that there are a lot of dealers selling them at MSRP... strictly a supply/demand thing...

without knowing more details (assuming this is an honest individual), i dont see what is so wrong with his post... seems that he is offering his 2008 spot for MSRP or very close to it (no way he got the car for under MSRP...no way)

You're on. RC who runs Rennteam in Germany is a VERY accurate source historically.
