Used? New? If slightly used, then below MSRP by a nice margin. For example, check the classifieds... fellow rennlister Watt is selling his beauty for below MSRP. I'm freakin' out here over these great GT3 offers.

I really need turbos up here in the mountains, and I really need to not **** off my new bride by sticking to our new housing plan... but I don't have a six speed to drive for the rest of the year and nice people keep offering to sell me their GT3s!! I'M GONNA CRACK UNDER THIS PRESSURE! HOW MUCH CAN ONE MAN SUFFER?

If I thought for a SECOND that I could get away with hiding a GT3 in a public storage space I'd cave in.

i think that this is probably true for heavy optioned cars with some mileage.... but i would think that 08 base models with little to no mileage will still bring MSRP, even if slightly used.. (?)

It will indeed be interesting to see when many second trust deeds/HELOC get called and the said home "owner" can't service the debt.

The disappearing funny money will have an effect, by how much, only time will tell.

Oh, yeah. People are waiting/wanting to see prices on these cars fall so they can buy on the cheap or scare poor slobs to sell in a panic. And fall they will... but I knew that going into it. I like my GT 3 and Know cars are the worst value to invest in... I most likely will keep this car for sometime and then take a bath... but, in the mean time I will enjoy it.

That's our idea, too. We are hoping to get into a bigger house at a great price if we just wait. (I get married and suddenly a 4 bedroom / 3 car garage isn't big enough for two people.) Gotta get into a neighborhood closer to sea level so that I can go back to NA engines again.

If it's like the 996 GT3, $5-10k below MSRP next spring or summer (more of a discount for heavily optioned cars) for low mileage cars.

how is ANY CAR going to hold msrp with real milage.
you can have my RS around april 2008 for msrp, i will pay shipping to your state. it will have close to 40k miles at that time. who's paying me msrp for mine? i am taking numbers right now and i can write you a contract and have it notorized too.

not a fair comparison, 40k miles is excessive ( ) for the period of time... we are talking normal Porsche miles (i.e.5k'ish) per year... I agree that it will hold MSRP in the short-term with those kind of miles
