Default 18" MPSC on the RS

Has anyone tried the 18" mpsc on their GT3 RS yet? If yes, did you go with the 315's or 295's on the rear? Impressions?

I've used the oem 19" mpsc on the track a few times, but dislike them. I can't seem to dial out the understeer and the car "wallows" with those tires. The 19" wheels and oem tires are fine for the street, but I find thay they are a handful on the track.

For people using Hoosiers, are you using 315's or 295's on the rear?

Thanks for sharing ideas/results.

It has been reported that real cups solve the understeer issue because the factory supplied cups have a slightly different tread pattern to cope better in the rain. 295s are pretty small for a 12 inch wide rim. I'd use the 996 GT2 tire sizes (315 rear) if I were going with cups. It should be a big improvement. That being said, it seems many are happy with 245/305 toyos. I'd prefer this using a 9 inch wide front rim.

Darrell- Look into the R888's. They performed awesome this weekend. By today KJ was diggin' them also. He turned a 1:24.x on them. I smoked a 1:23.07 today with them. I'm a convert now.

That is quite a bit faster than the 19" oem mpsc's! Mine are going in the trash tomorrow!!! (Actually, I'll probably keep them for the street, but they are NO fun on the track.)

Ask mooty how does MPSC's feel at the track. No grip if your pushing it. Mike
