gang, i'm interested , potentially, in buying a 997 GT3 RS. i've owned/own some nice aircooleds but am interested in the gt3, rs. i've seen a bunch on ebay. i've seen one at sloans and RPM.

1. if anyone sees, knows of any exceptional examples, i'd love to know where they are. you can PM me, or email me steve@trademanage.com

2. also, what amount over/under MSRP is reasonable, fair and the current market? i was offered one at 12k over Sticker, but the color just didnt do it for me. i dont need or want one that bad that it shouldn't be the color id esire.

are there any good deals out there?

I think 12K over is on the low side right now. I think most are around 20K over right now.

if you can help me find one at 20k over, let me know where i'd find one. all the dude i talk to are holding out for 30 to 40, literally. wild. not my cup of tea to pay up like that. rather wait and let depreciation come out of them, and in 2, 3 years see whats what.

The bid on this one has stopped at 151K I believe twice now. Maybe its the color or maybe the markets are catching up to these as well.

still on the hunt. came clsoe on a few, not so much for dollars but options and colors. seems like they are sitting a bit, maybe an impact of this stock market environment, and just generally uneasyness. but also, a supply of 08 RS's i was told by two parties is to start hitting the market before too long.

two pretty prominent dealers suggested waiting a number of weeks . that would require patience. its not a virtue of mine, or probably for most up here for that matter!!<G>

that being said, i'm still in the market and looking.if anyone has a line on any, or ideas, tips, suggestions, please do toss them my way. to reiterate, i'm looking for a highly optioned, ceramic'd, gt3RS...somewhere in the 15 to 20above sticker range.

anyone know if the 08's will have any newer/materially different technologies?

I liked all the RSs when they came out -Silver the best -Green the least.
But I would have had any of them no problem.
Looks like I was opposite of markets tatses- the silver one is a slow seller and the orange and green ones are hot. Just an observation.
