Since the new 997 GT3 seats are obscenely priced (I can't wrap my head around spending $9K+ for 2 seats) and the genuine 996 GT3 seats seem to be unavailable, I was considering these:

Any experience with them here?
I know they are not yet FIA approved and therefore would not work for club racing, but I would just use them for DE's anyway.
The company seems to have a lot of positive feedback.
Opinions?

Does Gert @ Carnewal not have any 6GT3 seats in stock? It seems that Ebayers may not be buying replica seats for a safety/performance benefit. Also, replicas sans Crests can be used in anything. Can you say "rice?"

Porsche does not manufacture these seats. They are made by Recaro/Lear. They are even better seats available for less money from Recaro, Sparco, Cobra, etc that will fit. I don't think it is a good idea to use uncertified seats for any type of motorsports or even for regular driving. You don't even know who manufactured these! Would you track on knock-off Cup tires from some unheard of manufacturer? Same thing regarding roll cages. Why put a weak factory bolt together cage in these cars over a cage with fully welded construction? I have treated alot of motorvehicle accident victims. I also do some accident reconstruction analysis and testing. Safety has nothing to do with how something looks.
