yes, thorax air bags must be turned off by the dealer. My dealer did it in a few minutes.

for your size, if you drive on street, you need pole position or spg xl.

you will fit spg also, but EVERYTHING will feel numb after 45 min of driving, when you stumble out of the car.

Just installed Recaro Profi SPG XL seats in my 997 GT3, in conjunction with a DAS "weekender" half-cage and Schroth PII-6H belts.

The seats fit my 6'2" 215#, 40" waist, 33" inseam bod just fine. In fact, I have to set the seats two notches forward of the max rearward position. Be advised that the OE 3-point belts are history, as they can't be made to function with the Recaro mounts.

Be sure your vendor ships the correct brackets and sliders.

Comment: My seats came in nylon velour, which picks up every piece of lint within our tri-county area! A Helmac lint pickup or lots of 3" masking tape helps. Suggest ordering leather instead of the mouse fur nylon velour!

you need a better fabricator/installer.
oem belt can be used with ANY seat.
