GT2 Wait List?

A lot of Dealers are not taking lists. They are trying to create an artificial demand. I expect (and hope) that PCNA is going to get involved and determine who the Dealer customers are before a car is allocated to that Dealer.
If the faithful don't get the cars, expect an additional allocation, to satisfy them. So, anyone who pays over sticker for this car has money to burn (IMO) and will get burned.

well trained consumers will also jump on the lovely new pig of the porsche poke the panamera, once porsche begins that feeding time. the 2, the TT, the cayenne and the panamera provide a nice contrast to the 3

Bottom line; if you want one you will get it.

well trained...this is true- it seems so many porsche customers are indeed zombies for the brand

A lot of pundits were predicting 250k CGT's by now too...who knows, it will all come down to the number produced.
I took a look at the torque curve on the 997 GT2...it is flat and long. In fact, I went out into the garage and looked at the torque curve of the Ruf 550 on a plaque that Ruf sent when they did my 996TT. It looks almost identical, and comes on earlier. The Ruf was rated at 780NM torque, the GT2 is rated at 680NM torque. I can tell you, the seat of the pants throw back in that Ruf was like nothing I have ever experienced. Made you rollercoaster queasy if you can get a mental appreciation of the feel. The fact that I miss that car so much, makes my anticipation of this one that much more exciting.
Time will tell, and it wouldn't surprise me if they build as many as they can sell, or if it tanks on resale...but what a ride it will be.

anyone who pays over MSRP will need to keep in mind most of the GT2s sold for MSRP or below, it was a slow mover sales wise, and demand was relatively low, and still is as shown by the rate of depreciation, the fact that RSs seem to be holding their value, even though made in similarly low numbers is puzzling to me
