Default B&M short shifter vs factory unit

I have a B&M short shifter in my TT and a factory std shifter in my GT3. I have to say the B&M unit feels better than the factory - less notchiness - especially the 2-3 shift, and play. Has anyone done the B&M unit in their 3/RS?

i have b&m in several 996's.
yes, the 997gt3 is notchy at first, somehow the 2-3 shift is very weird for me. i can't find the 3rd gate. but after 2000 miles or so, either it improved or i got used to it. i can shift it fast and precisely. i like it more than b&m now.

I've had both and prefer the oem unit.

The 996 GT3 shifter is a longer throw than the 997 GT3 and the BM shifter was put on the 996 Gt3 by alot of people incuding me and took it off. I dont see a need for it on the 997 at all. waste of money for this car
