When can a 997GT3 be ordered/purchased at MSRP?

I agree with frank, if you're willing to wait until an 09 model year car comes around, then going to the dealer and making a deposit with a filled out car configurator spec sheets (porsche.com) is probably a good idea

Where is this mkII GT3 information coming from. I have heard nor read nothing about this. I can see the 3.8l in the "998" or whatever the next generation 911 is called, but a mid model engine change would be completely asinign. If you are going to start these rumors please back them up with credible sources.

i would put a deposit down on a 2009 tomorrow if i thought they were selling them... several on this thread seem to think 08 is the last year... i will call and ask tomorrow... really quite surprised that this hasnt already been asked and answered...but cant seem to find anything with "search"
