Howdy from Texas. I an eagerly awaiting my GT3. It was in the paint shop Thursday and scheduled to leave the factory on the 13th. Traded a 2006 Cayman S in part for it. Last Porsche prior to that was a 1977 911S (last one sold by the factory and picked up at the factory Christmas Eve '77) Daily driver is a Corvette C6 . The GT3 will be my 65th birthday present .. .yes to some I may be old by I'm not about to grow up. Life is short enjoy. Jack

Also Jack, how did you get the info from Germany/Factory that yours is in the paint shop? That is really interesting info, i am extremely tight my my rep from Porsche, and he can barely get me a date of when it will be complete. Thanks, and have fun! (Dont worry, im waiting too, sucks huh!!!!)

First: It is white, only because that's what they race under. Guards red and or Silver were right there. This was a very short notice opportunity to pick up an unallocated unit so I only had several hours to decide. Options I choose include upgraded audio and Bi-xenon headlights, smooth leather on the steering wheel and heated seats. I also got the painted wheel caps however I'm going to pull the original tires and wheels, store them for special occasions and put BBS RS GT wheels and PS2 tires on as they will be better day to day. As for info as to its progress, my dealer has been able to keep me informed. A friend was in Germany last week and at the factory and took pictures of what he thought was my car. The GT3 and our new grandson are great "pick-me uppers" as last week I sold my acrobatic airplane and after 41 years decided it was time to quit flying. Hope this answered the questions.
