i dont know why ppl like A048, one of the worst rubber i ever had.
it came on my LSS exige. they are no grippier than RA1 or MPSC and they heat cycle out way faster than mpsc. the grip on A048 goes away after about 800 miles on a 2000 lbs exige while i can get 800-1000 miles on mpsc on a 3100lbs 996gt3...

for GT3, choosing b/n mpsc and A048s, that's a no brainer, run MPSC.

I put the PS2's on my 997 gt3 after switching out from the corsas. I am still having trouble finding the right tire pressures for the street. Any one have any pressures that have worked great for them. I think im at 34 front and 28 rear. The corsas factory psi were 29 f 30 r I think and they felt great.

I think 37/44 fully loaded (per the door jamb)

35/39 works for me, even on the track.

Having worked with a tire company in the past doing tire testing, I always trust the tire company engineers first and foremost.

Here is the Michelin tire guide for the sport cups: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...nd_Feeding.pdf

And for the Pirelli Corsa: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...currentpage=62

Most people probably have too high a tire pressure on the track.

But he wants tire pressures for the ps 2, not the cups. A different story altogether, so he should use the pressures recommended for those. He wanted good street pressures, and I merely added that those pressures also worked well on the track (at least for me).

Sorry Colm, I'm under the influence of Tylenol Flu right now and only saw the post about the Corsas. I used to run 36/36 on street tires on the 993TT which worked great.

Thanks guys. The door jamb says 29f 33 r i believe. i think i am running 34f 38r now. Honestly i dont love the way they feel. the corsas did feel alot better in my opinion. if i do 29f 33r on the ps2's, will i be running them too low?

The door jamb on the GT3/RS says 29/33.

But the door jamb on the 997S says 37/44, and this is the fully loaded pressure for the PS2s

There is not a great deal of weight difference between the GT3/997 and I believe you should go with the dictated pressures (adjusted for partial loading, as above) for the PS2s.

Yes 29/33 on the PS2s is not only too low, it is dangerous to the the point of negligence (gross?).

the 997 c2s should be a good reference for ps2 street pressure. it's 34/40psi.

i am running 34f 38 r now. fyi porsche sent me an email pertaining to the ps2's on a 997 gt3 and said to use the pressure's in the door jamb of the vehicle. when i asked about r compound pressures vs ps2's they replied that the tire pressure is based on the vehicle weight and tire sizes and i should use the 29f 33r pressures. they said if i feel more comfortable that 1-2 psi higher can be run. in no way did they say it was unsafe to run those pressures on the street though. just wanted to relay this info.

I'll be surprised if that answer holds up (and I was wrong if it does). Did you tell them you were running (or planning) PS2s on a GT3.

Unfortunately I don't have the info handy to look up the weight differences between the two, but doubt that is more than 150 lbs. This is more of a passing interest, because i am thinking of going the other way and putting the MSPC on the 997S, and that says that I would have to go to 37/44 fully loaded.

Now I'd like to know wha Michelin says
