Unfortunately few of us have the benefit of German Autobahn, so at least for me it is more realistic that the car would only be used hard when on trackdays.

Seems to be a strong recommendation from Supercup experience for PCCB... ?

At the pro racing level the cost of PCCB is not a consideration compared to the weight saving. supercup cars are identical. using steel would be the same as adding 25 lbs of ballast.

'not suitable for the street'.

In the Sipercup, the teams do NOT have the option of switching to iron rotors, the cars/brakes as delivered by PAG are mandated, in the Supercup its all about setting up the car and driving it.

The 997 Supercup cars do not have ABS, and you don't have to be a genius to work out why.

The current Supercup rotors (not for street use) were developed to address the cost issue. The previous rotors, which were comparable to the ones supplled to customers for street use were too expensive.

As far as the brakes for GT1 are concerned, these are CARBON brakes, not ceramic, so you cannot make the comparison with PCCB, completely different.

Konstantin has 'muddied the waters' by comparing apples with oranges, he knows perfectly well that carbon brakes are not the same thing as PCCBs and that the current rotors used in the Supercup are not suitable/available for road use.
