I very much wanted to get set of these wheels but found out that the rear spokes are flat face instead of being convex. I guess the reason is due to the high positive offset that makes it almost impossible to design convex face.

I hv been quoted insanely cheap price for such wheels, white in color.
Too bad but I will still think consider it

Cheers

I like them! Too bad they do not come in the right width for 18" use on the 997 GT3

Sorry for the dumb question but what do you mean the 18" do not come in the right width for the 997 GT3? Do you mean in terms of how it looks on the car or the fit for 18" performance tires?

the widest is 11". based on tire rack, they fit the 997gt3, but oem is 12" in the rear.

Thanks Mooty. Now I really feel dumb. I looked at the numbers 5 times and just did not see it. Good thing I am not an accountant.....

11" is well within the allowable bead width for a 305 rear tire. There is no reason you could not use that on the RS with a spacer, and would even save a ton of rotating weight.

you are correct on that.
but some may want to run larger than 305.

that said, conceivably you can get 13 inch to work if you spend enough time rolling fenders and work out custom offsets.

i just wanted to point out that "technically" the wheel in question is not MADE for the 7gt's.

Volk make the wheels for the Williams Formula One car. Aside from OZ and BBS, not many other wheel manufacturers can claim that.

Ok, so the TE37's are not the same wheel you get on a Williams F1 car... but it must say something about the expertise of Rays/Volk and the quality of their products, that they're found in F1...

Volk does make a 12 inch wide wheel specific for the 997 GT3. No RS fitments though.

Jon-
They make a 12" wide for a 19" wheel. Largest for an 18" is 11" wide. i was looking at these because they are light! But going to an 18" wheel, so not wide enough. Probably going with CCW now
