garret, please show pix of how the roll bar is mounted to the tub.
i presume you have a plate welded to tub?

here is another Q.
if you have very good penetration on the welded plate, the weld will go through the tub. how do you prevent rusting? extra gob of paint on the bottom of the chassis?
