My 997 gt3 has 3,200 miles and i just noticed the exhaust noixe is different
from original , now it sounds more like the 997 turbo. This difference is
more noticeable with the sport button off.
Anybody has experienced this ???

I imagine that the exhaust system is breaking in and the mufflers are packing in a bit more due to the heat and pressure. Pretty normal I'd say.
But when you say that it sounds like a 997 TT, does that mean there is a "whistle" noise? Maybe your fairy Godmother installed a couple of turbo' s while you were asleep?!

I agree. I just passed through 1450 miles yesterday and am very pleased with the exhaust note now. I feel it has changed dramatically since new, much more so then any other Porsche I've had experiance with. It has definitely gotten louder, and more "unique", it doesn't sound as much as a sewing machine now as it did when new.
Just for comparison, I disabled the bypass valve the first night I had the car, so, the exhaust has been on constant bypass for all 1450 miles.

Thanks for the ideas. I took it to the dealer today and i personally
figured out the problem and after careful inspection we found out
that the flange that connects the tips to the muffler is not sealing
completely and some hot air is escaping from the underside.
This probably happened after I passed a big bump and hit the
exhaust tips a litle bit too hard bending the flange enough for the
air to escape and thus changing the original sound the car made since new.
We concluded that we will cut out a gasket to put between the
tip flange and the muffler.
